Q: Is anything going to change for me as a client?
A: Day-to-day, no, you’ll still work with your usual contacts and get the same service. Over time, you’ll have access to even more talent and resources, including our wider nationwide construction network.
Q: Why did Valuestaff sell to Thorn Baker?
A: It’s not a sale in the traditional sense - it’s a strategic move to combine strengths and deliver more value to clients. The Valuestaff team has simply moved over to become part of Thorn Baker, so the same people you know and trust, now with the added strength of Thorn Baker Group behind them.
Q: Will your rates go up?
A: We’re committed to offering the same competitive pricing you’re used to – any changes will be clearly communicated and discussed with you first.
Q: Who do I contact now?
A: For now, your usual consultant. As we integrate, we’ll let you know if any contact details change, but we’ll keep it as smooth and seamless as possible.

Q: Will my job or placement change?
A: Not at all. You’ll continue working in your current role, paid the same way, and speaking to the same people.
Q: I was registered with Valuestaff and I don't know Thorn Baker, do I have to register again?
A: No. All your details are staying the same. We’re just working together behind the scenes to give you more support and more job opportunities in the future.
Q: Will I get paid differently or on a different day?
A: No change. You’ll be paid in the same way and on the same schedule. If that ever changes, we’ll give you plenty of notice.
Q: Will I lose my consultant?
A: No. The same team is still here - and they’ll continue to be your first point of contact. You may speak to some new people too but they’ll be offering the same level of service.
Q: Why is this happening?
A: This partnership gives us access to more construction jobs, better support, and wider opportunities. It’s a positive move for everyone involved – clients, candidates and consultants.
