General Information

 

Location: Sherwood Business Park, Annesley, Nottinghamshire NG15 0DJ

Contract:Perm

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Rotating shift pattern 06:00-14:00hrs/14:00-22:00hrs

 

Position Overview

The emphasis of this role is to ensure stock integrity across a range of customers on the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain stock accuracy by conducting regular PI checks within the agreed timescales to achieve daily PI targets
  • Identify and implement any 'Critical to Quality' (CTQ) processes/practices
  • Ensure that all Operational non-conformance is monitored and actioned, so it does not re occur
  • Ensure all stock KPIs are exceeded.
  • Identify root cause of stock accuracy issues and escalate to FLM with suggestions for resolution. Escalate more serious or repeated concerns to senior management.
  • Contribute to the planning of an efficient warehouse layout
  • Participate in stock counts across the campus
  • Ensure up to date Standard Operating Procedures are in place and are reviewed
  • Proposes upgrades to WMS to ensure current best practice has been adhered to.
  • Be a systems champion capable of coaching others and resolving basic issues.
  • Responsible for key controls of the stock integrity to ensure customer service levels and audit compliance are achieved.
  • Responsible for accurate physical stock moves.

 

  • Responsible for regular system hygiene
  • Ensure that all system related issues are escalated immediately to IT service desk
  • Identify opportunity for process improvements as part of a continuous improvement culture.
  • Auditing stock movements across warehouse and resolving any discrepancies in timely manner.
  • Responsible for stock investigations, Root Cause Analysis, and warehouse empty location checks.
  • Support with stock and systems projects.
  • Challenge bad practices and support stock team with coaching and development of warehouse colleagues to deliver best in class stock integrity.
  • To attend training courses when required.
  • Any other duties considered necessary to fulfil the role.
  • To be responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and other operatives by adhering to safe working practices.

 Key Skills Required

  • Good Basic Reading & Writing
  • Warehouse background advantageous
  • Ability to strictly follow procedures
  • Awareness of health and safety issues
  • Able to keep to deadlines
  • Forklift truck license an advantage.
  • Very good level of math's and ability to ensure accurate counting as and when required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Passionate about stock accuracy through counting tasks.
  • Motivated to be able to work under pressure and the ability to meet critical timeliness targets.
  • Highly flexible, committed and willing to carry out varied tasks positively.
  • Possess excellent accuracy skills and ability to carry out tasks with attention to detail ensuring work is error free first time.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm and flexibility governed by the position.
