The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join the team and play a pivotal role in shaping successful bids and project wins. This senior role will involve end-to-end estimating responsibilities, collaborating closely with the Pre-construction and Commercial leadership to ensure bids are competitive, comprehensive and aligned with our strategic aims.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost plans and full project estimates from early stage through to final submission.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier enquiries, assess returns and incorporate into tender proposals.
- Identify value-engineering opportunities and develop bid strategies with the pre-construction team.
- Maintain cost databases and benchmarks to improve estimating accuracy.
- Mentor junior estimators and promote best practice across the team.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' estimating experience in construction (main contractor preferred).
- Strong technical and commercial understanding across multiple sectors.
- Proficient in estimating software and Excel.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) desirable.
