Due to continued growth and recent contract awards Thorn Baker's exceptional client is currently looking for an experienced and ambitious Project Manager for high-end fit-out projects within their Marine division in Antrim. Delivering prestigious and exciting bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects across a broad range of sectors, you will be part of a progressive, internationally renowned company with over 45 years' experience in providing exceptional quality work.

The Project Manager will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing the necessary resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the client's satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop a project plan and ensure the necessary resources are organised to meet the plan. Continually monitor progress and take all necessary steps to ensure the completion date is met.
  • Develop a project budget and ensure the project is delivered within that budget
  • Ensure that all work is carried out to the client's specifications.
  • Ensure that the project resources i.e. staff, labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors are effectively managed.
  • Liaise with clients and their agents to advise on progress and problem resolution as required.
  • Ensure contractual conditions are adhered to and the contractual position is not compromised.
  • Monitor the financial performance of the project and take all necessary steps to minimise costs.
  • Proactively develop relationships with clients.
  • Proactively participate in value engineering to maximise project contribution.
  • Ensure that a high standard of safety is maintained throughout the project and that all relevant environmental and health & safety regulations and procedures are adhered to.

Required Skills:

  • Extensive joinery management experience on interior fit-out type projects.
  • Relevant qualifications and a strong joinery background.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
  • Sound commercial acumen and the ability to add value and optimise profits.
  • Experience working in a pressurised environment and can keep calm under pressure to go the extra mile and meet deadlines and targets.
