Job Title: Chief People Officer

Thorn Baker has teamed up with an Award-Winning Civil Engineering and Construction Specialist client and have just the position for you!
With nearly 40 years of experience as the leading supplier of skilled, professional labour in the UK, this family-managed business is looking for a People Experience Lead to join their HR team. This would be a great role for someone who is stepping up into line management.
You will be reporting directly to the Head of People and Engagement.

About you:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organisedandproactive
Calm and comfortable in yourleadership
Required Skills:
Excellent HR generalist experience.
Managed ER work, such as grievances, disciplinary proceedings, redundancy, creation of policies, procedures, workflows and HR projects.
An awareness of Business Partnering and supporting managers on an advisory basis.
Drive and self-motivation.
Your Responsibilities:
To manage the day-to-day HR function.
To support the Head of People & Engagement to deliver people-related processes, vision, and strategy across the company, aligned with regulation.
To support other colleagues within the business to resolve challenging issues related to the employment and dismissal of staff.
Working within the People team, and the Operations team to ensure that the company attracts, hires, develops, and retains qualified employees.
Management of the entire employee lifecycle of HQ staff on an HRBP basis.
