Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a global logistics and distribution business based in Chesterfield. This role is ideal for candidates with valid VNA and Reach Truck licences, including in-house certifications.

We are looking for reliable, safety-conscious individuals who have experience in warehouse operations, order picking, and forklift truck driving.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate VNA Forklift Trucks (man-up) to safely access stock at height
• Operate Reach Forklift Trucks to move goods across the warehouse
• Pick orders accurately using pick sheets and scanners
• Input product codes and data into basic computer systems
• Follow warehouse procedures and safety protocols at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Role Breakdown: Approximately 80% order picking and 20% FLT operation

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday
• 16:00pm - 02:30am
• No weekend working required - 4 day week

Pay and Benefits:

• Starting hourly rate: £13.10
• Overtime available at enhanced rates: Time and a Half and Double Time

Candidate Requirements:

• Valid VNA FLT Licence and Reach FLT Licence (in-house licences accepted)
• Previous warehouse experience, ideally in order picking or logistics
• Ability to work safely at height using a man-up VNA forklift
• Comfortable using basic IT systems for order input and verification
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Own transport required due to the location of the site
