Overview

We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our team. The Toolmaker will be responsible for producing different types of tooling and will be proficient in operating CNC millers, turners, grinders etc.

Responsibilities

Manufacture and repair precision tools for production purposes
Operate and maintain CNC millers, turners, grinders, and other toolroom machinery
Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to ensure tooling meets specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the proper set up and operation of the machinery
Perform preventative maintenance on machinery
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tooling and equipment
Adhere to safety and quality standards in all work activities

Qualifications

Proven experience in toolmaking and production of precision tooling
Relevant toolmaking qualification
Proficiency in operating CNC millers, turners, grinders, and other toolroom machines
Experience in TIG welding (DESIRABLE)
Strong attention to detail and precision in work
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Knowledge of tool and die materials and heat treatment processes
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Day-to-day

Operating CNC millers, turners, grinders, and lathes to produce and repair tooling
Collaborating with engineers and production personnel to meet tooling specifications
Performing preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with tooling and equipment
Adhering to safety and quality standards in all work activities

The shift times are days & afters rotating weekly Monday to Friday (early finish Fridays).Starting pay is £22/h.
