Position Overview:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of major projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Your expertise in cost management, contract administration, and stakeholder collaboration will be essential in driving the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and management of project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and risk assessment for projects.
- Oversee the preparation and evaluation of tender documents, contracts, and variations.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor project expenditures and progress to ensure compliance with budgets and timelines.
- Prepare and present regular financial reports and updates to senior management.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors and other team members.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards on all projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record of managing infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost control techniques.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in relevant software and tools such as MS Excel, CostX, and AutoCAD.
