Senior Principal Designer / CDM Advisor
Job description
My client is a medium sized property & construction consultancy based nationwide. Due to growth plans and several recent project wins, this client is recruiting a driven Senior Principal Designer/CDM Advisor professional, ideally based within 1 hour of Leeds, but other areas will be considered, role coverage is predominantly the Midlands. This a fantastic opportunity to operate with a company willing to invest heavily in training & development. Our client oversees a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, retail, leisure, industrial and healthcare projects on a national level.
Key Attributes and Skills required:
- Providing advice and helping clients fulfil their CDM duties
- Preparing and submitting F10s
- Design risk management and liaison with design teams to identify key hazards
- Identification and collation of pre construction information
- Liaison with the construction team to ensure that there is an ongoing exchange of health and safety information
- Preparation of health and safety files
- Assessment and preparation pf construction phase health and safety plans
- Site health and safety inspections
- Preparation of method statements and risk assessment
- Ideally you will have relevant experience within the construction industry. Design risk management skills and PD/CDM professional qualifications are essential.
- NEBOSH General Certificate and/or Construction Certificate are desirable along with excellent communication skills and a determination to succeed. A full driving licence and own transport is essential as some travel will be required.
