Job Description

Thorn Baker is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and oversee two new build housing projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost management and procurement.

Job Duties

• Prepare and submit valuations
• Manage subcontractor accounts
• Attend project meetings
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and cost reports
• Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in COINS software
• Experience in house building projects
• Full UK Driving Licence

Education

Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience within new build housing 
• COINS experience - desired 

Working Conditions

This role will involve regular site visits and occasional travel to project locations. The successful candidate must be willing to work flexible hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
