Thorn Baker are working with a specialist joinery and construction contractor who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with experience in project manager, to help support the running of their projects, as a result of a rise in demand and business. This is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to take the next step in their career.

What we are looking for:

• Must hold a Quantity Surveying qualification
• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor
• Project management experience preferred 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Great time keeping skills
• Experience within the building industry
• Proficient user of Microsoft project
• Able to resolve conflicts quickly and efficiently

Responsibilities:

• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budgets
• Assessment of sub-contractor applications and final accounts
• Reviewing tender documentation to form bills of quantities and tender returns
• Cost tracking of the project.
• Keeping track of and pricing variations to existing contracts
• Manage stakeholders expectations throughout
• Maximise positive cash flow
• Attend internal and external meetings
• Produce regular reports
