Job Description – Painter & Decorator

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Painter & Decorator to join our team on a 2-month contract. The role involves working on a variety of commercial l projects, ensuring high-quality finishes throughout.

Position Details:

• Job Title: Painter & Decorator

• Pay Rate: £19.50 per hour

• Location:  Derby ( DE22 )

• Duration: 2 months

• Hours: 07:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

• Start Date: ASAP

• CSCS Requirement: Blue CSCS Card essential

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparing walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces for painting or wallpapering (filling, sanding, priming, etc.)

• Applying coats of paint, varnish, or other finishes to various surfaces to achieve a high-quality, professional finish

• Hanging wallpaper and specialist wall coverings as required

• Assisting with surface repairs such as patching holes, cracks, or other minor defects

• Ensuring all work complies with site health and safety standards

• Working on both internal and external surfaces as required

• Keeping work areas clean and tidy throughout the project

• Liaising with site managers, supervisors, and other trades on-site

• Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition

Requirements:

✔ Blue CSCS Card (Skilled Worker) – essential
✔ Proven experience in painting & decorating roles
✔ Full PPE required
✔ Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver a high standard of finish
✔ Good timekeeping and reliability
