Job Title: Handyman – Research Centre

Working Hours: Typically 08:00 – 17:00 

Job Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and reliable Handyman to assist with general maintenance and minor works on a live facility site in Romsey. This role is ideal for someone with a strong multi-trade background who can work independently and to a high standard in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs (carpentry, basic plumbing, painting, patching, etc.)

• Installing and repairing fixtures and fittings

• Supporting ongoing refurbishment or upgrade works

• Assisting with small fabric works, snagging, and finishing tasks

• Ensuring work is carried out safely and with minimal disruption in a live environment

• Reporting any faults, defects, or hazards to site management

• Maintaining a clean and organised work area

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Handyman/Multi-Trade Operative

• Strong skills in basic carpentry, decorating, repairs, and general building work

• Valid CSCS card preferred

• Own tools and PPE

• Professional attitude, good communication, and ability to work on a live site

• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
