FLT Operator – Goods In & Dispatch

Chesterfield | £13.27 per hour + Overtime | Temp to Perm

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced FLT Operator to join a busy, well-established warehouse operation in Chesterfield. This is a long-term, ongoing opportunity within Goods In and Dispatch, offering regular overtime, job security and progression.

This role is ideal for candidates with Reach and/or Counterbalance FLT experience who are looking for stable warehouse work in a fast-paced environment.

The Role:

As an FLT Operator, your duties will include:

• Operating Reach and/or Counterbalance forklifts
• Loading, unloading and moving metal products
• Working within Goods In and Dispatch
• Receiving and inspecting inbound materials
• Picking orders and preparing goods for dispatch
• Hand packing and stamping billets
• General warehouse and manual handling duties
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse

Shift Pattern:

Rotating early and mid shifts

• Early Shift:
  Monday–Thursday: 6:00am – 2:30pm
  Friday: 6:00am – 10:00am
• Mid Shift:
  Monday–Thursday: 9:30am – 5:00pm
  Friday: 10:00am – 2:00pm

Pay & Overtime:

• £13.27 per hour
• Overtime rates:
• Weekdays: Time and a half
• Saturdays: Double time
• Sundays & Bank Holidays: Double time

Requirements:

• Valid Reach and/or Counterbalance FLT experience
• Previous warehouse, Goods In or Dispatch experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual and team-focused
• Comfortable using handheld scanners or basic computer systems
• Happy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
