Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is looking for a skilled FLT Operator to join the Goods In and Dispatch functions at a long-standing, fast-paced operation in Chesterfield.

If you’re confident on a forklift (Counterbalance and/or Reach) and want a steady, ongoing role within a friendly warehouse team, this could be a great fit for you.

Main Duties

• Operate Reach and/or Counterbalance FLTs to load, unload and transport metal products (approx. 40% of your shift)

• Hand-pack and stamp billets, along with general warehouse and manual handling work (approx. 60% of your shift)

• Accurately receive, inspect, and store inbound materials

• Pick, prepare and organise customer orders for dispatch

• Keep the working area safe, clean and running efficiently

About You

• Previous FLT experience is essential

• Background in Goods In, Dispatch or general warehouse work

• Strong attention to detail and a dependable, team-oriented attitude

• Comfortable using scanners or basic computer systems

Hours & Pay

• Pay: £13.27 per hour + overtime

  • Weekdays: x1.5

  • Saturdays: x2

  • Sundays/Bank Holidays: Double Time

• Shifts: Rotating – Early (6:00am–2:30pm) and Mid (9:30am–5:00pm)
