Job Overview

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are hiring on behalf of a national concrete manufacturer based in Alfreton. We’re looking for an experienced FLT Driver to support production and yard operations in a busy, high-output environment. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Operate Counterbalance FLT to safely move raw materials, concrete products, and steel components around the yard and production areas
Load and unload vehicles in line with company safety procedures
Supply production lines with materials and remove finished products for storage or dispatch
Carry out visual checks to ensure products are handled carefully and stored correctly
Support general yard duties when required, including manual handling and housekeeping tasks
Follow all site Health & Safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment

Preferred Experience & Skills

Valid in-date FLT Counterbalance licence (accredited only)
Previous experience in an industrial, yard, or manufacturing environment
Comfortable with both FLT operation and manual handling tasks
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Overhead crane experience or willingness to train would be an advantage (not essential)
