FLT Driver – Counterbalance

Pay Rate: £13.00 – £14.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30

Overview:
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is recruiting for a reliable and experienced Forklift Truck Driver for a steel manufacturing business in Chesterfield. Candidates must hold a valid and accredited Counterbalance licence. Further training on side-loader trucks will be provided in-house.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate counterbalance FLT to transport materials across the site

• Load and unload goods in line with health and safety protocols

• Support production and warehouse operations as required

• Conduct pre-use checks and report any faults or hazards

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment

• Follow all company safety and quality procedures

Essential Requirements:

• Accredited Counterbalance FLT licence (RTITB or ITSSAR accepted)

• Recent experience operating a counterbalance truck in an industrial or manufacturing setting

• Good awareness of health and safety regulations

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication and timekeeping skills

Desirable:

• Experience using side-loader or multi-directional FLTs

• Previous work in a steel or heavy manufacturing environment
