Job Title: Construction Estimator
Location: England, West Midlands, Worcestershire
Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours Monday to Friday
Primary Industry: Construction, social housing
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 Per annum

About the Company:
Thorn Baker are recruiting for an exciting Estimator opportunity in Worcester. The client is a growing and reputable construction business that specialises in social housing projects across the Midlands.
They have been appointed on several social housing framework agreements and collaborate with some of the largest house building names in the UK. Due to their significant expansion, they can offer progression within all areas of the business.
Job Duties:
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects
- Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimate
- Review and evaluate cost estimates, quotes, and bids to ensure accuracy
- Attend site visits and meetings to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction estimating
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management or related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction estimating
- Sound knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
Working Conditions:
This role will primarily be based in an office environment, with occasional site visits required. Standard working hours are expected, with flexibility needed to meet project deadlines. The role may involve travel to different project locations within the Midlands.
