Thorn Baker's UK-leading and forward-thinking client is looking for an Estimator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a business whose reputation for the highest standards of quality, safety, and investment in their staff is paramount.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will exercise your skills in the management and preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and commercial tenders, from receipt of enquiry to tender submission on multiple projects at a time.

About you:

• Reliability, discretion, diplomatic manner, and impartiality of judgement.
• Excellent communicator
• Calm under pressure, strong eye for detail.
• Organised and can work on own initiative.

Required Skills:

• HNC or equivalent in construction related discipline preferred 
• Understanding and knowledge of estimating processes, with demonstrable experience producing estimates for projects valued from £100k to £5M.
• Ability to interpret drawings for accurate take-off.
