About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced CAT 972 Loading Shovel Operator for a long-term project based in the PL7 area of Plymouth. This is a great opportunity to secure consistent work on a well-organised site with an 18-month programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a CAT 972 Loading Shovel safely and efficiently

• Loading materials and supporting site operations as directed

• Working alongside plant operators, groundworkers, and site teams

• Carrying out daily machine checks and reporting any defects

• Maintaining high standards of site safety and operational awareness

Requirements

• Proven experience operating CAT 972 Loading Shovels or similar large machines

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Loading Shovel ticket

• Previous experience on construction, quarry, or large infrastructure sites

• Good understanding of health and safety procedures on site

• Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
