Job Title: Assistant Site Manager

Location: West Midlands, Coventry

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Monday to Friday

Primary Industry: Construction - New build housing

Salary: £40,000 - £52,000 Per annum

Qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, Driving Licence

A prestigious housing developer based in the West Midlands is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join a new site in Coventry. The successful candidate will be offered a salary of up to £53,000 plus a competitive package.

Job Duties:

  • Assist the Site Manager in overseeing all aspects of the construction site
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and tradespeople
  • Manage and monitor site progress
  • Resolve any issues that may arise on site
  • Assist in quality control and compliance with building regulations
  • Communicate effectively with the Site Manager, contractors, and suppliers

Required Qualifications:

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card
  • First Aid certification
  • Valid Driving Licence

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Knowledge of timber frame house building techniques
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working for a housing developer
  • Additional health and safety certifications

Working Conditions:

The Assistant Site Manager will work on-site in Coventry, West Midlands.
