Assembly Operative

Job description

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are seeking experienced Assembly Operatives to join a fast-paced production team. Previous experience in assembly, production, or metalworking is essential – this role is not suitable for complete beginners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble small fixtures and fittings onto products with precision and care
  • Follow technical instructions, drawings, and production schedules
  • Operate automatic and semi-automatic machines to shape and form components
  • Maintain high-quality standards through attention to detail
  • Ensure compliance with production and safety requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in assembly, production, or metalworking environments is essential
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and take on career progression opportunities

  • Regular day shifts
  • Start times from 05:45am – rotating 39, 42, 45 and 48 hour weeks
