Overview
We are seeking organized, detail-oriented, and skilled Assembly Operative to join our Client in Ilkeston. As an assembly Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality products are built and delivered. Responsibilities
- Precisely assemble parts or products following company guidelines.
- Conduct quality checks at various stages of production to ensure specifications and standards are met.
- Observe and identify potential production or assembly-line issues and communicate them effectively.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace to ensure a safe and productive environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project goals and deadlines efficiently.
- Monitor equipment and tools, reporting repair or replacement needs.
- Use hand tools which could be screwdrivers, Pliers and Electric Torque Screwdrivers
- Adhere to company safety protocols and promote a culture of workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an assembler or in a similar hands-on manufacturing role preferred
- Interest or some knowledge in electronics would be advantageous.
- Strong dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Keen eye for detail and commitment to ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Day-to-Day
- Assemble, test, and inspect products following detailed specifications.
- Perform quality assurance checks to identify any defects or irregularities in the production process.
- Coordinate with team members to troubleshoot assembly challenges and identify solutions.
- Regularly calibrate and maintain assembly tools or machinery to function reliably.
- Actively participate in daily team meetings or briefings to communicate progress, concerns, or updates.
The shift times are 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 13:00 Friday, the basic pay rate is £12.21 p/h.
