Thorn Baker are looking for an experienced Warehouse Counterbalance Forklift Driver/Team Leader to join the team for one of our clients based in LE3 area of Leicester

This position is available on a temp to perm basis - the expectation is that based on your performance - they will take you on permanently

Job Details:

• You will be responsible to lead a small team of warehouse operatives responsible for incoming goods, storage areas and dispatching service to customers
• You will be reporting into the Warehouse Manager
• For first 12 weeks - you will be on a training plan where you will be learning all aspects of the warehouse and systems.  This will include using a counterbalance forklift and using their computer systems
• After 12 weeks of training - you will start to be team lead the warehouse operatives
• You will helping to ensure all incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items is planned efficiently and done in a timely manner to achieve team objectives
• Helping to ensure the team are trained and competent in all aspects of their warehouse duties
• Ensure stock control and stock management is done safely and effectively
• Operating a counterbalance forklift truck to load and unload vehicles at times along with moving stock around the warehouse and production areas and locating into stock racking areas
• Operating computers to update paperwork, stock information, respond to emails etc
• Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 0800-4.30pm and Friday 0800-3.30pm.
• Salary is £12.35 for initial 12 week training period then becomes £13.67 with additional team leader bonus payment

About you:

• You must have previous warehouse or manufacturing experience
• You must have a valid counterbalance forklift certificate - IN HOUSE CAN NOT BE ACCEPTED
• Previous warehouse team leader or Senior Warehouse Operative experience is preferred
• Good level of English - both written and verbal
• Be competent with computer systems
