Street Works Operative – Scarborough – Immediate Start

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Street Works Operative to join a busy highways and utilities project based in Scarborough.

Job Details:

• Location: Scarborough
• Start: Immediate
• ⏱ Full-time hours available
• Competitive hourly rate (DOE)

Duties Will Include:

• Carrying out general street works and highway maintenance
• Excavating and reinstating footways and carriageways
• Installing and repairing drainage, ducting and utility services
• Setting up and maintaining traffic management and safe work zones
• Working safely around live roads and public highways
• Using hand tools and small plant to complete excavation and reinstatement works
• Assisting with trench support, backfilling and surfacing
• Ensuring all works are completed in line with health, safety and Street Works regulations

Requirements:

• Valid NRSWA (Street Works) Ticket – Essential
• Valid First Aid at Work Certificate – Essential
• CSCS Card
• Previous experience working on highways, utilities or roadworks projects
• Own PPE
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work effectively as part of a team
