Stock and Purchasing Controller

Job description

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment have partnered with a manufacturing company in the Chesterfield area who are looking for a Stock & Purchasing Controller.

Reporting to the Stock & Purchasing Manager, your duties would be:

  • Following company procedures & systems for stock management and control using Microsoft D364
  • Managing and placing PO’s for stock, consumables and ad-hoc items as required
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Reporting weekly / monthly balances
  • Achieving site performance targets in line with agreed deadlines
  • Completing PI checks and investigating major variances as per procedures
  • Processing daily stock transfers and general administration of stock
  • Reporting supplier quality issues

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience in procurement or purchasing (although full training will be given)
  • Looking for permanent work
  • Be proficient in all aspects of Microsoft

Hours and pay:

8 hour day shift, Monday to Friday

£24,000 per annum
