Site Manager – Shop Fitting / Joinery

Location: Newtown, Wales
Rate: Circa £280 per day
 Start Date: Tuesday 1st September 2026
Completion Date: 26th October 2026
Hours: 7am–7pm, 12-hour shifts
Working Pattern: 7 days per week ideally, with rest days scheduled between shifts

The Role

Thorn Baker Construction are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a commercial shop fitting project starting Tuesday 1st September.

This is a hands-on Site Manager role, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable getting involved on the tools when required, as well as managing the wider site operation.

A joinery background is highly desirable, with candidates who have progressed from a trade background into Site Management particularly encouraged to apply.

The project will operate across a 7-day week, so full flexibility is essential. The successful candidate will work 12-hour shifts, with rest days arranged throughout the project.

Requirements

• Proven Site Management experience within shop fitting / retail fit-out
• Joinery background highly desirable
• Previous experience in a hands-on/trade environment
• SMSTS
• CSCS
• First Aid
• Asbestos Awareness
