Machine Operative (Temporary)

Location: Chesterfield
Job Type: Temporary (2-4 weeks)
Shift: Days - Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 5:00pm
Pay Rate: £13.07 per hour

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Operative to join a busy plastic injection moulding manufacturer in Chesterfield on a temporary 2-4 week assignment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for immediate work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with the benefit of a four-day working week.

As a Machine Operative, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring plastic injection moulding machines, carrying out quality inspections, and ensuring products meet the required standards. You will also play an important role in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operating plastic injection moulding machines safely and efficiently.
Carrying out quality checks on finished products.
Identifying and reporting any defects or production issues.
Packing and handling products as required.
Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe work area.
Following all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets.

Essential Requirements

Reliable with excellent punctuality and attendance.
A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Previous experience operating machinery.
Experience working within a factory or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of plastic injection moulding processes (advantageous but not essential).
