ACTION PACKED DAY FOR THORN BAKER
The day, organised to thank staff for all their hard work, kicked off with a spot of archery with ‘little John’ showing everyone how it was done. Other activities included clay pigeon shooting, off road karting and hovercraft racing. After the day’s events, everyone retired to a local hostelry to feast on a supper of fine fayre, sup some ale and partake of a spot of entertainment (a disco!)
For Thorn Baker, which began as a local recruitment agency in Nottingham and has grown to a network of eight offices, it also provided a great opportunity for every member of staff to celebrate the growth and success of the business.
“It was a really enjoyable day and it provided a great opportunity for staff to get to know each other on a more sociable level,” said John. “Team building events like this are important for a business such as ours and are a great boost for staff moral.”
Thorn Baker was set up in Nottingham in 1988, to provide recruitment to the commercial, construction and industrial sectors. The firm has subsequently expanded with total of eight regional offices located in Nottingham, Mansfield, Chesterfield, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield and Bristol.
