THORN BAKER EXPANDS SHEFFIELD OPERATION
The firm opened an office last year in the Omnia office complex in the city centre, initially to supply construction companies with temporary staff. Now, as part of the company’s ongoing expansion programme, the branch will offer a complete solution for sourcing staff to businesses in the commercial sector.
“Our Sheffield branch has seen tremendous success since it opened last year and we felt that now was the perfect time to expand our operations there. Regional needs and demands were taken into consideration, which led us to believe that a commercial department would provide the most benefit for the area,” said Chris Thorne, director at Thorn Baker.
Heading this new division will be Bella Edwards, who with 2 years experience working at Thorn Baker’s Chesterfield office, is the ideal choice to help carry the business forward. Bella will initially be joined by Hayley Goodwin who will assist in getting the department up and running prior to the other consultants joining the team.
“The company as a whole is experiencing great success and I am delighted to be offered the chance to head this new division and help secure this further,” said Bella.
“Our Chesterfield office reached record levels under Bella’s supervision and we are looking forward to her taking her formula to Sheffield to continue the success. She is a valuable asset to the company,” adds Chris.
Thorn Baker’s Sheffield office is the newest in a current network of 8 branches nationwide that specialises in the recruitment of industrial, construction, commercial and permanent staff.
